About Me

I believe nursing is more than a profession — it’s a commitment to dignity, compassion, and advocacy.

My journey began as a Rohingya refugee, where survival meant navigating barriers and systems that were not built for us. Those experiences taught me what it feels like to be unseen, and they shaped my vision for the kind of nurse I want to become: one who not only provides excellent care at the bedside, but also stands up for patients who are too often overlooked.

Advocacy has always been part of my path. Whether raising awareness about mental health in underserved communities, working alongside nonprofit organizations, or creating resource hubs for refugees and immigrants, I have carried one belief with me: healthcare must be accessible, equitable, and rooted in humanity.

This blog is where I bring those commitments together. Here, I share reflections on resilience and patient advocacy, explore the role of nurses in public health, and highlight resources for communities that deserve better.

For me, nursing is not just about treating illness — it’s about creating trust, building equity, and ensuring every patient feels seen and valued. This is the nurse I aspire to be, and this blog is part of that journey.
